New Online Artist Directory Connects you with Creative Talent

May 25, 2025

Marion, KY – The Community Arts Foundation is excited to announce the launch of its Local Artist Directory, a free online resource designed to bring area artists and those seeking creative talent together in one easy-to-use platform.

The directory opens the door for artists of all kinds—singers, writers, painters, bakers, and more—to share their work, connect with others, and be discovered for new opportunities. Whether it’s a festival searching for performers or a neighbor hoping to commission a handmade piece, the directory makes it simple to find and connect with talent right here in our region.

In addition to individual creatives, the directory is a valuable tool for wedding and event planning. Visitors can explore local services like catering, floral design, photography, custom alterations, décor, and other creative offerings—making it easier than ever to plan meaningful events using hometown talent.

“This project is all about shining a light on the artists in our own backyard,” said Braden Locke, President of the Community Arts Foundation. “There is so much creativity in this community, and we want to make sure people know it's here—and that it's accessible.”

But the success of the directory depends entirely on community participation. Artists, makers, and creative service providers must submit their information in order to be featured. The more artists who take part, the more powerful and useful this resource becomes for the entire community.

If you’re a local artist—or know someone who is—now is the time to get involved. Submitting your listing is free, easy, and helps strengthen the local arts economy by increasing visibility and access to creative work.

This initiative is part of the Community Arts Foundation’s ongoing mission to support the arts and encourage creative expression. Since 1988, the Community Arts Foundation, a nonprofit organization based in Marion, KY, has worked to produce, promote, and sponsor events and programs that “inspire the artist in you.” From concerts and exhibits to workshops and festivals, CAF strives to make the arts a meaningful part of everyday life.
